ITS THE SWEETEST THING EVER--I cannot even--Ugh, just ughh---*curls in balls of feels*
Imma just be honest and say that YES, I am chubby but its nothing bad! I don't like it sometimes and sometimes I do like it! Its normal, I think, since we're in a society that you know, kindof dwells on being thin because that equates to being fit or healthy. Which is honestly true! Some people do take this to extremes like the fashion industry thus twisting media perceptions and forcing these ideals upon young girls and boys which they grow up with. (Sorry for the super duper long run on sentence -u-;; )
But I feel like Pochamani expresses that well...
CHUBBY GIRLS NEED LOVE TOO--
I mean, mangas do it too--That whole twisting the media perception--I mean, let's be honest: have you seen a chubby character in general that wasn't used for comedic relief?
So I really, really appreciate that Pochamani shows the love for girls who don't exactly fall in the "slim" category. I'm not bashing skinny people--I feel like there's a lack thereof for girls with realistic sizes. Sure, you could argue that shoujo-manga is pretty idealized and stylized so its meant to be exaggerated so its not really MEANT to be realistic.
All in all, I really really love this. It just kindof, you know, makes me feel good about myself. ( o v o ) And I love that this manga and this author can do that to me so I find that amazing. Isn't that why we love anime/manga?
